# Demofy

> Demofy turns a web app into a narrated product demo video. You give it a URL and one line of
> intent; it explores the app in a real browser, records the flow at 60fps, and composites zooms, a
> tracked cursor, narration and captions into a finished MP4. Demo videos that re-shoot themselves: when the product's UI
> changes, the same demo can be shot again from the same URL and the same intent.

## What it does

- Makes a demo video from a URL and a sentence — no script, no storyboard, no screen recording.
- Re-shoots a finished demo on request: it re-explores the live app from scratch and films it again.
- Re-shoots a demo automatically, once, when a capture fails because a recorded element is no longer on the page.
- Keeps every re-shoot as a version. The earlier video is never overwritten and links already shared keep working.
- Re-renders a stored demo with no capture and no model call, so the same plan always produces the same video.
- Records behind a login, using a browser session the owner establishes once and saves.
- Records at a desktop or a phone viewport, and delivers portrait 9:16 for the phone one.
- Has a step editor: retype a beat’s narration, trim a beat out of the cut, move the camera, add per-beat audio, mask a region.
- Ships a caption track, a transcript and a written Markdown guide beside every video.
- Shares a demo at a public link that can be revoked, and embeds it in an iframe.

## What it does NOT do

- It does not monitor, watch or poll a website for changes. A re-shoot happens when a person asks for one, or when a capture fails on a stale element — never on a schedule.
- It does not record your screen. Nothing is installed, and there is no desktop app or browser extension.
- It is not a clickable interactive demo or a product tour widget. The output is a video file.

## Getting started

- No account is required to make a demo. Paste a URL on the home page and the first video starts.
- No card to start, and the free tiers have no trial clock — they are bounded by a daily cap, not a paywall. Pro’s monthly plan offers a 7-day free trial, and that one takes a card.
- A guest gets 3 demos a day; a free account gets 10. Everything made as a guest carries over on sign-up.

## Pricing

Free, and one paid plan called Pro at US$29 a month or US$290 a year (2 months free).
Pro is priced per workspace, not per seat. Those are the US dollar prices; Pro is sold in 9 currencies,
each with its own price, and a reader is quoted in theirs where Demofy can tell which it is. Anywhere else it is billed in US dollars:

- Euro (EUR): €25.99 a month, or €259.99 a year

Free includes:

- 3 demos a day as a guest, 10 with a free account
- Standard capture — 1920 × 1080, the full pipeline
- The step editor — retype a line, trim a beat, move the camera, add sound
- Projects, sharing and embedding — free forever

Pro adds:

- High and Ultra capture — 2.5K and 4K renders
- Your own brand colour, as a generated backdrop on every video
- Your own narration voice, on every video the workspace makes
- No “Made with Demofy” card at the end

Cancelling takes the Pro features off new renders and takes nothing else: videos already made stay
in the library, stay downloadable, and keep working at the links they were shared at.
