What each one is

Clueso
Clueso turns a screen recording — or an existing video, a slide deck or a PDF — into a polished AI-narrated product video and a step-by-step article from the same source.
Demofy
Demofy performs the flow itself in a hosted browser and returns a narrated video with captions, a transcript and a written guide.

What Demofy costs

Pro is US$29 a month, or US$290 a year — 2 months free. It is per workspace rather than per seat, so the fifth person on the team costs what the first one did. Everything below Pro is free, forever — a guest makes a finished 1920 × 1080 video with no account and no card, and it is a file you can download, share and embed. A free render closes on a small “Made with Demofy” card, which is one of the things Pro takes off. The full plan table is on the pricing page.

Where Clueso is the better answer

  • The article is a first-class output with a quota of its own — 180 a year on Solo — which makes Clueso a documentation tool as much as a video tool.
  • It ingests what you already have: an existing recording, a mobile capture, a slide deck or a PDF all become a narrated video without anybody re-performing the flow.
  • It records anything you can reach on your own screen, including desktop software and internal tools Demofy has no route to.
  • SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, with magic blur for PII redaction — the controls a security review asks for before a support library goes out.

Where Demofy is the better answer

  • Nobody performs the recording. A URL and a sentence are the whole input, and the flow is discovered, filmed and narrated without a person clicking through it.
  • A finished demo is a stored plan, so the same demo can be shot again against the changed product instead of being re-recorded and re-narrated.
  • A capture that dies on a moved element is re-shot once by itself, and every re-shoot is a new version beside the old one.
  • One price for the workspace and no export meter: the second person costs nothing, and what bounds usage is a daily cap on demos rather than minutes of export a year.

The part that does not flatter us

Clueso is the better buy if what you are really building is a help centre. The same sitting produces a 4K video and a step-by-step article, and it will happily record a desktop app or convert a slide deck — neither of which Demofy can reach, because Demofy only films web apps that answer at a URL. For a documentation team that is a hard limit, not a trade-off.

Which to pick

Clueso is a documentation studio that also makes video; Demofy is a demo factory that also writes the guide. Choose Clueso when a person should decide what appears on screen and the article matters as much as the film.

Neither table settles it. Paste your own URL and watch what comes back — that takes less time than reading this page did, and it costs nothing.
