What Demofy costs
Pro is US$29 a month, or US$290 a year — 2 months free. It is per workspace rather than per seat, so the fifth person on the team costs what the first one did. Everything below Pro is free, forever — a guest makes a finished 1920 × 1080 video with no account and no card, and it is a file you can download, share and embed. Where Guidde is the better answer
- It is the strongest fit in this list for a documentation library: the same capture becomes a video, a PDF and a slide deck, which is three deliverables from one sitting.
- It records anything you can do on your own screen, including desktop software and internal tools Demofy has no route to.
- A 7-day Business trial with no card, and a free tier that is 25 finished videos rather than one.
- PII redaction and content review on the enterprise tier — the controls a compliance team asks for before a support library goes out.
Where Demofy is the better answer
- Nobody performs the flow. The app is explored from a URL and a sentence, so making the demo does not cost a person a sitting.
- The recording is a stored plan, so the same demo can be shot again after a UI change instead of being re-performed and re-narrated.
- A failed capture on a moved element re-shoots itself once rather than surfacing as a broken video somebody has to notice.
- The seat count does not appear on the bill: Pro belongs to the workspace, so a team of six pays what a team of one pays.
The part that does not flatter us
Guidde Pro at $19 per creator a month billed annually is cheaper than Demofy for one person, and its free tier is 25 videos against Demofy’s daily cap. For a single technical writer building a how-to library, Guidde is very likely the better purchase.
Which to pick
The closest competitor in this list by OUTPUT, and the furthest apart in method. Guidde is better when a human should decide exactly what appears on screen; Demofy is better when nobody has time to sit down and record the same flow for the fourth time this quarter.
