Demofy vs InstaDemo
InstaDemo turns a website into a narrated demo, from a watermarked free tier to a low monthly Pro. Demofy films from a URL too. Where InstaDemo wins.
What each one is
- InstaDemo
- InstaDemo is an AI demo video generator that turns a website into a narrated product demo with a live share page, sold per demo as well as by subscription.
- Demofy
- Demofy also films the product from its URL, and every plan gets the finished video with a transcript and a written guide beside a narrated video, which also gets a caption track (not if you replace its soundtrack).
What InstaDemo costs
| Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 demos a month at 480p with a watermark, up to 45 seconds, one demo every 30 minutes, videos deleted after 15 days |
| Single unlock | $5.99 one-time | Per demo. Removes the watermark and the 45-second cap and delivers that demo at 1080p |
| Pro | $19 / mo | Or $190 a year. 1080p with no watermark or cap, videos kept, behind-login capture, viewer analytics, lead capture, auto-refresh, the studio editor. Fair use: 50 demos a month |
| Agency | $99 / mo | Everything in Pro, 200 demos a month instead of 50, and one done-for-you video made by hand every month |
| Top-up packs | From $2.99 | 3 demos for $2.99, 10 for $7.99, 50 for $29.99. They never expire and stack on any plan |
| Done-for-you | $99 one-time | The demo made for you from your URL and what to highlight, delivered within 48 hours |

What Demofy costs
Pro is US$29 a month, or US$290 a year — 2 months free. It is per workspace rather than per seat, so the fifth person on the team costs what the first one did. Everything below Pro is free, forever — a guest makes a finished 1920 × 1080 video with no account and no card, and it is a file you can download, share and embed. A free render closes on a small “Made with Demofy” card, which is one of the things Pro takes off. The full plan table is on the pricing page.
Where InstaDemo is the better answer
- It is far cheaper to start: ten free demos a month, one demo cleaned up for a one-time fee, and top-up packs that never expire.
- Auto-refresh on Pro: switch it on for a demo and InstaDemo re-renders it when your site changes, with nobody asking.
- Viewer analytics that say who watched and how far they got, and lead capture that asks for an email before the demo plays.
- A done-for-you service: send a URL and what to highlight, and the demo is made for you within 48 hours.
Where Demofy is the better answer
- A free video is the finished one, with no watermark over it: it closes on a small “Made with Demofy” card, and that card is what Pro removes.
- Behind a sign-in Demofy still drives the product itself: you log in once in a live browser, two-factor included, and later demos reuse that saved session on any plan.
- The script editor comes with every plan: retype a beat’s line, trim it or change the look, and render the result as a new version.
- A transcript and a written guide ship beside every narrated video, whatever the plan, and so does a caption track (not if you replace the soundtrack).
The part that does not flatter us
InstaDemo is much cheaper to start and to scale — a one-time fee cleans up a single demo — and its auto-refresh re-renders a demo when the site changes without anybody asking, which Demofy does not do. If a subscription is more than you need, InstaDemo is the easier yes.
Which to pick
Both paste a URL and get back a narrated demo. Choose InstaDemo for the lowest price per video and demos that re-render on their own. Choose Demofy when the free video has to be the finished one, when the flow sits behind a sign-in, and when captions and a guide should come with it.
Neither table settles it. Paste your own URL below and see what comes back — a guest needs no account and no card.
